Swales & Dry Creek Beds
Swales and dry creek beds manage surface water while adding a natural design element to the landscape.

Preventing Erosion
A swale is a shallow, graded channel that slows and directs runoff across a property. By controlling flow speed and direction, swales reduce erosion and prevent water from concentrating in problem areas.
Dry creek beds use decorative stone to carry water during heavy rain while remaining an attractive landscape feature during dry conditions. They work especially well where traditional piping is impractical or a natural look is preferred.
By spreading water over a wider area and reducing velocity, swales and dry creek beds protect soil, plantings, and nearby structures from washout.
